“Carbon Fiber Design Contest Sailing”

DRaF together with a group of companies including OLYMPUS, specializing in innovative composite materials and new technologies for engineering, and trade associations including AMME Asmeccanica, are organizing the international ideas competition “Carbon Fiber Design Contest Sailing.” This is an opportunity to propose innovative applications of composite materials in sailing, including modern 3D printing. The competition, first held in 2012, is now in its 6th edition, attracting hundreds of projects from designers around the world. The 2013 edition of the contest, also dedicated to the world of sailing, was awarded prizes in the America’s Cup village during the Naples leg of the 2013 America’s Cup World Series. The project will involve local professionals, companies, and institutions and will be presented and promoted during DRAF2026.
