ESA Academy is pleased to sponsor up to 3 tertiary education students to attend the 6th International Symposium on Dynamic Response and Failure of Composite Materials (DRaF2026) and contribute to the International Workshop AI-driven Approaches for Space Applications (AI4SPACE) under the ESA Academy Conference Student Sponsorship programme. The sponsorship covers:
• the early‑bird student registration fee (not required of ESA by the organizers);
• up to EUR 350 for travel;
• up to EUR 500 for accommodation (up to 5 nights at the Hermitage Hotel & Park Terme).
Reimbursements will be made via a single bank transfer after the event, upon submission of receipts.
To be eligible for an ESA Academy Student Sponsorship, students must fulfil the following criteria at the time of application:
• individually present an accepted contribution at the AI4SPACE workshop (oral presentation, poster, other);
• be minimum 18 years old at the time of the conference;
• be a citizen of an ESA Member State, Associate Member, or Canada;
• be enrolled as a student (Master, Doctorate) in a tertiary education academic programme (not graduating before the Conference);
• not benefit from an overlapping financial support to attend this conference, unless duly justified;
• agree with the conditions of the ESA Academy’s Privacy Policy.
Priority will be given to students who have less than 2 years of professional experience and have never taken part in an activity sponsored by the ESA Education Office.

The decision by the Selection Committee will be communicated by 20th April 2026.
